Who is Savia Rocks
Savia Rocks is an award-winning writer and poet whose journey began at the tender age of five. Inspired by legendary songwriters like Chuck Berry, Carole King, Stevie Wonder, Dolly Parton, and Diane Warren, Savia found her passion for storytelling through song. Initially starting her career as a singer, she soon discovered her true calling in songwriting, captivated by the power of words to convey deep emotions and stories.
A pivotal moment in Savia's life was her time in St. Lucia with her grandmother, whose kindness and compassion deeply influenced her. Her grandmother's unfulfilled dreams of becoming a poet, photographer, and writer fueled Savia's determination to pursue these paths, honoring her legacy.
Throughout her career, Savia has collaborated with artists worldwide and worked with major organizations like Notting Hill Music, Sony Records, and Warner Music. She has been recognized for her poetic talent from a young age, winning poetry competitions from age 17 and receiving the Outstanding Achievement in Poetry Award from the International Society of Poets twice at 23 & 24.
Savia's work has been celebrated at events such as the esteemed at may award shows including The Baton Awards, where she was invited to read her impactful poem "Shades of Resilience." Her success at the event led to a return invitation in 2024 to share "The Mirror of Power."
Savia continues to earn accolades for her poetry and songwriting, championing the voices of women from diverse racial backgrounds. As a woman of color, she exemplifies how kindness, compassion, and self-belief can lead to remarkable achievements.
